Other than the parliamentarian's decisions what's going on in the senate?

The parliamentarian has issued some decisions, most of them good as far as I can tell, but what else is happening? Mike Lee agreed to limit the federal land give away to those lands closest to populated areas, rather than include more remote federal lands that rich people wouldn't want. He made this "compromise" after the parliamentarian ruled that the federal land sale boondoggle can't be part of the budget, so it doesn't make any sense.

Is there a source that reports the predicted outcome? Other than Rand Paul, have any Republicans said they have a problem with the plan to bankrupt the nation? When do we think the vote will be?

If the rules vote fails what happens next?

At least one Republican publicly stated that he will vote no, that means only three others are required for it to go down. Does that mean that McCarthy is still speaker? How likely is it to pass?

No negotiation! The Democrats should scream, but let them do it

Since they have no actual power to stop it, the best alternative is to just let it happen and correct after the election. There is no reason to promise not to react now since they will respond by making things worse. Also DC deserves federal representation, and all federal courts are overwhelmed and need more judges all the way up to the Supreme Court.

US citizens returning from overseas say they are waiting hours for coronavirus screening at airports

Several travelers told CNN that when they arrived at airports in Dallas, Chicago and New York, they faced long lines and confusion.
President Donald Trump announced restrictions on entry into the US from 26 countries in Europe on Wednesday. The ban went into effect at midnight on Friday, but only after the original announcement sparked chaos at European airports as Americans sought ways to return home before it went into place.
Karen Rogers, a passenger returning from Paris by way of London told CNN Saturday night she had been waiting in line for at least five hours to be screened at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and was told she would have at least another hour to go.

What if the Republicans think the delay is a good thing too

The delay could be Pelosi flexing but it is possible that it is a safety to tame Trump's most insane urges.

Today there is a way to remove Trump from office that won't take months, there wasn't last week. Pelosi can send the articles to the senate, McConnell then lets the Republicans know it's time to oust the loon. This could happen in a matter of hours.

There are persistent rumors that 35 Republicans would vote to impeach if it was a secret ballot. There might be twenty who would remove Trump if the reason is good enough, we aren't there yet. It would have to be a very good reason, war against an ally for example, maybe withdraw from NATO, a nuclear bomb, something deathly serious. But there is a bridge too far even for Republicans.

Obviously, the real reason the Republicans would convict would be the new horror Trump inflicted on the world, but this gives McConnell a way to stop Trump. The cool thing is Trump knows it
