Trump furiously demands judge who blocked renovation project be criminally charged

Source: raw story

Alexander Willis May 30, 2026 11:41AM ET

President Donald Trump erupted Saturday in a 720-plus-word social media post over a judge’s ruling ordering him to remove his name from the Kennedy Center and halt a renovation project, a rant that culminated with the president demanding the judge be criminally charged.

U.S. District Judge Casey Cooper recently ruled that Trump’s Kennedy Center renovations were unlawful, citing Congress’ authority to rename the iconic performing arts center. In his lengthy social media post, Trump attacked Cooper’s wife – Amy Jeffress, former Justice Department prosecutor under the Clinton administration and former President Joe Biden’s personal attorney – as a “radical left Democrat,” and accused Cooper of having a “conflict of interest” for not "revealing" his wife’s work history.

“Amy is totally wired into the Left System, from her husband down, and it is impossible for me to be treated fairly,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “He has a total Conflict of Interest, and should be brought up on charges for not revealing these facts. That is why The Kennedy Center will soon be closed, probably never to open again.”

Trump’s outburst follows a similar statement he published on Friday, where he aggressively attacked Cooper as being a judge “appointed by Barack Hussein Obama.”.......

An Iranian missile hit a military air base in Kuwait, injuring several Americans, including contractors and active-duty personnel. This incident occurred as President Trump negotiated a deal to end the war in Iran.

Several Americans were among those injured after the debris from an Iranian missile hit a military air base in Kuwait on Friday, according to a report by Bloomberg. This came on the day when US President Donald Trump met senior officials at the White House Situation Room aiming to reach a deal to end the war in Iran.

According to sources quoted in the report, the the Americans injured included contractors and active duty personnel, with minor injuries suffered after Kuwaiti air defenses struck an incoming Fategh-110 missile. The attack also seriously damaged a pair of MQ-9 Reaper drones, which cost about $30 million as debris fell on the Ali Al Salem air base. .......

Canada's broader citizenship rules draw strong American interest, data shows

Source: yahoo.com

By Wa Lone Sat, May 30, 2026 at 5:05 AM CDT

TORONTO, May 30 (Reuters) - While U.S.-Canadian relations have frayed under U.S. President Donald Trump, data on Canadian citizenship approvals under recently widened rules suggests many Americans would welcome the ‌chance to become Canadian.

Under the new rules, which allow more descendants of Canadians to claim citizenship ‌compared with just first-generation descendants previously, approvals for proof of citizenship by descent have risen by more than 1,000 per month so far this year, data from Canada's immigration agency shows.

That compares with just 275 additional approvals in December 2025, when the new law went into effect.

The data also shows that roughly 48% of the additional approvals through February originated from the U.S.

Immigration lawyers say the high percentage of Americans reflects the historically close ties between the two neighboring countries, ‌while signaling that many Americans see Canada as an attractive place to live or study, especially given recent U.S. political uncertainty................

They heard it through the grapevine that the event was a total political setup, so they bowed out 😂

If a group of dried grapes has the spine to protect their brand and withdraw their labor, there is absolutely no excuse for the rest of us.

Another No-Bid Contract, This Time For Gold-Plated Horses

Source: crooksandliars.com

There's no excuse like a semiquincentennial to spend millions on gold-plated everything.

By Karoli Kuns — May 29, 2026

Another no-bid contract has been issued, this time to gild statues in Washington, D.C. surrounding the Lincoln Monument in 24-karat gold. The statues are equestrian statues known as Arts of War and Arts of Peace. An Arts of War statue is pictured above.

These statues are bronze, so that a good cleaning and polishing would have been enough to bring out their features, and freshen their looks while leaving a lovely patina on them.

But President Grifter wanted them covered in the same quality of gold used to cover Wyoming's state capitol dome seven years ago. Because why not? It's only taxpayer money, after all.

No tax charges filed in Southern Poverty Law Center probe, after IRS lawyers determined informant program legally structured, sources say

Updated on: May 29, 2026 / 2:58 PM EDT / CBS News

Federal agents previously investigated the Southern Poverty Law Center's paid informant program for possible tax crimes, but the probe failed to yield any charges after Internal Revenue Service lawyers determined it was legally structured, sources familiar with the matter told CBS News.

Agents from IRS Criminal Investigation in 2019 and 2020 homed in on shell bank accounts that a former chief financial officer at the civil rights nonprofit opened to pay informants in exchange for intelligence about hate groups. The agents sought to determine whether the SPLC unlawfully failed to file tax returns for those payments, sources said.

But a Treasury Department rule exempts 501(c)(3) nonprofits from filing tax returns in connection with payments to informants who provide information about potential criminal activity. As a result, IRS lawyers later cautioned against seeking an indictment on tax charges, several of the sources said.
.............
The Justice Department in April obtained an 11-count wire and bank fraud indictment against the SPLC over the center's informant program, alleging it defrauded its donors and duped its banks by creating shell accounts to funnel money to insiders who belonged to the same hate groups it pledged to dismantle.

The group denies wrongdoing and has pleaded not guilty.

When Jaxson gets harassed a little bit, he's also is loved more because we have more people than they do.
