Latest CA Gov vote drop

This is what the last batch looks like and shows just why Steyer is likely to pull into 2nd place. These late counts are like the early votes but reversed. Liberals and progressives wait till the last minute to drop their mail ballots in the box.

Tom Steyer (D) 117,940 35.8%
Xavier Becerra (D) 113,017 34.3%
Steve Hilton (R) 67,036 20.3%
Chad Bianco (R) 31,514

The total statewide count now looks like this:

Candidate Votes Total

Xavier Becerra (D) 27.3% 1,996,100
Steve Hilton (R) 25.4 1,857,568
Tom Steyer (D) 22.0 1,606,905
Chad Bianco (R) 10.5 763,552
76.1% of expected vote in

Steyer erased an entire percentage from Hilton's 4.4% lead and is now behind by only 3.3%.

We may be looking at a likely Dem Vs Dem runoff

Paging MarineCombatEngineer (and all Marine veterans here)

I am very interested in your opinion on Graham Platner (a controversial subject of discussion recently) who served in the 3/8ths from Camp Lejeune NC.

As a Marine Veteran, what is your opinion of his getting drunk in 2005 and getting a tattoo he knew nothing about (incidentally very nazi related). How common is this behavior for young dumb and drunk Marines at Camp Lejeune where Platner served?

Thank you in advance for your input!

Honestly looking at those returns and how shes been closing in slowly all night and morning, I'm not entirely sure Biss won. He is only ahead by 3% and still 8% left to count in the largest county. If Cook County ends up just being completely even and she maintains or increases her count in the other counties; she wins.

Regardless all outlets have called it for him. Might be slightly premature 👀

Brand New Yougov Primary Poll (TX-SEN): Talarico+13

Conducted Feb 26-March 2, it shows Talarico up 53-40 for tomorrow's open primary in Texas.

Previous yougov poll conducted Feb 2-16 had Crockett up 56-44.

Harris endorsed Crockett on Feb 27, so depending on how many people it polled on Feb 26, it may or may not fully account for her endorsement of Crockett.

The Atlantic: Why I Got Thrown Out of a Jasmine Crockett Rally

For the past hour, I’d watched as Representative Jasmine Crockett riled up her supporters in deep-red Lubbock, where voters were thrilled to receive a visit from the Democratic Senate candidate. But afterward, as I attempted to join the other reporters interviewing the lawmaker, a woman with a badge approached me.

“Are you Elaine?” she asked. I recognized her from the entrance of the event, where I had identified myself as she’d waved me into the building’s press area. Yes, I answered. “Her team has asked you to leave,” she said. When I asked why, the staffer looked at her phone and read dutifully: “They just said, ‘Elaine from Atlantic, white girl with a hat and notepad. She’s interviewing people in the crowd. She’s a top-notch hater and will spin. She needs to leave.’”

I will, of course, own up to being a white woman wearing a Menards baseball cap. But “top-notch hater” is a distinction that I had never considered for myself. Last year, I wrote a profile of Crockett that displeased the congresswoman. I interviewed her several times for the story, but after she learned that I’d called some of her colleagues in Congress without asking her permission, she told me that she was “shutting down the profile and revoking all permissions.
