2. Where does it run? By the way, your first picture shows equipment that went into service in 2007.

In the picture you posted, it's hard to make out the overhead wires. On the railroad, these wires are called catenary. They provide electric power for the train in the picture. It runs on electricity.

Here's another view, this time with the wires more clearly visible.
