My Calliope is 17 and, like me, she has arthritis and hypertension. She also has early-stage chronic kidney disease. Calliope doesn't do much leaping and pouncing these days. Her youthful appearance belies her condition.
Your documenting KC's adventure touched my heart. I know you've posted many photo essays featuring KC, but this one got to me in the very best way. Thank you, brother.
This doesn't follow, but I'm curious about what looks to be an antique wagon axle in "Alas, the door was closed." That would make for an interesting photo subject on its own.
