15. Oh my LORD is that today?

I couldn’t. No way. Too many ways. I’m having my favorite today, which is now my favorite because that’s what I’m having today, and I definitely want to have it my way.

Anyway

We’re having BLTs today. Thick sliced pepper bacon -no augmentations like maple or smoke flavor that could clash with fresh tomatoes and lettuce picked fresh. The bread is toasted multigrain ‘sandwich rounds’, which is just the right amount of bread for us. I make a knock-off ‘horsey sauce’, reminiscent of that served in a certain fast food empire that will not be named presently, but adjusted according to the dish, and it’ll be light on the horseradish today.

There are other dishes I may have once in a blue moon, but I’m not expecting to have anyone soon. One is oysters wrapped in bacon. Then there’s Anything Wrapped In Bacon - another favorite. I like bacon crumbled on a doughnut -a savory, smoky contrast to the confection as a conveyance.
