to take their aging dogs with them to residential care facilities--something that pains me beyond belief. And in at least some of those cases, I note that these people die soon after--even where they did not have a terminal condition.

So for those who dump a dog out of inconvenience, as the novelty wears off or any other unjustified reason, I have nothing but condemnation and hope in many cases that they are charged with cruelty.

For those who are forced to give up a beloved dog, I hope we can help them to avoid this moving forward. I know some people who ONLY adopt/foster aging dogs. To me, these people are just the best.
