3. He has literally worked his way up from the bottom

he was a legislative aide to U.S. House Rep. Joe Hoeffel (D) and had served in the PA state House as a state Rep. for a buncho f years, then was a County Commissioner for a couple terms, and then ran for and won election as the state Attorney General - all before running for governor. So he has lots of political experience. As AG, he was smacking down the idiot AG Ken Paxton in TX and all that guy's nonsensical election-denying lawsuits against PA.

He has good bipartisan support too which is rare considering how polarized things have become in this state. So we're all hoping that will help to start deprogramming some of the most wishy washy but still-trying-to-lockstep Republicans in the state, so they can break out of their stupor, and get back to governing.
