16. So was talking to my best friend about Q.

She's always been fairly non-political...I think the first time she voted was in 2008. She was asking me what or who the hell this "Q" was, what they believe in, etc. Started going through it with her, and her jaw just kept dropping lower and lower, 'til she just blurted out, "And people believe this shit? They don't even know who this person is, and they believe it all?" I told her, well yeah...basically, they're crazy. And stupid. She (being a mom) came up with what I really think could be the definitive answer. I teach high school...kids today are really pretty savvy, and they recognize bullshit when they hear it. They're also bored as hell today, so I can really see this happening.

"Q" is a couple of goofy 14 year old kids, whose parents are Trumpists, and they want to see just how much bullshit the adults in their lives will believe. Picture it..."Dude! Let's tell them that all Democrats are satan worshipping baby killers, and see what happens!" And it escalated from there. Even the rather fertile imaginations of teenagers can't keep up with the idiocy the adults in their lives are displaying. Although it did probably get them to look at The Constitution, because the latest claim is that the real stuff will hit the fan on March 4th (?) because that's the REAL inauguration day.

Makes more sense than anything else I can think of.
