And, of course, he was the opposite of Jimmy Carter who was one of the most hardworking - and inclusive - presidents that we've ever had. Plus, he wasn't underhanded. To this day he believes that his failure to secure the release of the hostages in Iran was the reason for his loss. Odd that they were released as soon as Reagan was sworn in. Was there ever a serious investigation on how that came about??

And I have a friend who served in state office who told me that campaign signs are important because people are more likely to vote for a name they're familiar with, a name that they've seen. So if a candidate has blanketed an area with campaign signs, they're more likely to be elected - regardless of policy.
