4. "Wandering" is not unknown

for that age group. Hubby's mother was brought back to her daughter's home by the police a few times. She'd decided she needed "to go home" and ended up wandering around the whole area and a bit beyond before the police found her. After a few times of this, there was nothing to do but place her in a nursing home.

I worried for the same with my Mom when I had her living here with me. But Mom never liked to walk anywhere! So, instead, she'd just get on the phone and call 911 and have them take her to the hospital... without letting us know. Imagine my surprise as I walked out of my bedroom one night and into the front room wearing just a long t-shirt, only to find EMS in my front room!
