Marijuana stays in urine generally 30 days. If you are driving under the influence, a urine test is not evidence and no jury at a trial with a competent defense lawyer is going to convict based on that. If it happens to you, go to the urgent care, Emergency Dept, get a blood test. If it ain't in your blood, you aren't impaired. Probation conditions, different story. However, as it is decriminalized in many states nowadays that isn't going to get you violated anymore.

Which brings us to, the racism. Places that don't decriminalize marijuana want to use it to oppress members of their (usually non-white) community and want it to be the basis of a probation or parole violation.

As for money, yes, there is a great deal of money in drug interdiction. But as a New York State resident in a border/prison community I can testify that the opposition was fierce for the money and the racism reasons -- but the opposition failed. And now, they seem to have realized, the folks who lost the most money were the black market suppliers and law enforcement got to spend more time on the meth suppliers and the crack suppliers which, they identified as a win over time.
