In the article at the link is a half-assed apology she gave, in which she justified tearing down the posters because she believed the posters were justifying the murder of Palestinian children.

This is the reason being given at every pro-Palestinian rally and even here on DU: that Israel is using the attacks by Hamas to justify killing Palestinian civilians. I don't agree with it, but it's a very widely held opinion.
