15. With "Bidenomics", Joe is echoing Reagan's strategy in the early 80s

when high inflation had Reagan losing in the polls to his potential Democratic rivals in 1983. By 1984, inflation receded, the economy was stronger and Reagan took all the credit, though the Fed did most of the heavy lifting thanks to Jimmy Carter appointing inflation hawk Volcker in 1979. Reagan's popularity soared and he won in a landslide. Joe is hoping to duplicate that feat.

Biden lived through that and is directly emulating that strategy, this time with solid economic policies--not the supply side nonsense that Reagan touted (and had little real effect back then).
