At this point, I have to wonder if it isn't just too late to do that (not that I'm upset by any means). Just logistically: you have to find a data center and they'd have to be willing to host you as well -- which, unless you find one that's unscrupulous might also be difficult.

Assuming they did find one: you need networking gear, storage, servers, and money to get all that. It's easily a month lead time at a minimum to procure and get all that stuff in place. It's one of the reasons why cloud computing took off--no long cycles to get stuff up and running, and no need for frontloaded cost.

Anyway, I'm sure they could find someone who doesn't give a shit to host them. But I'm hoping the barrier to reentry is so high they're relegated to the dustbin of internet history.
