I read a comment on the Portland sub-Reddit that last year the gop contigent was a bunch of old white guys marching along and yelling Trump! Trump! to the heavily diverse immigrant families lining the sidewalks. And that this really brought the happy mood down.

So if that's true, the seeds of the alleged threats may have been planted then.
