Of course, back then TV shows actually frequently tried to back positive social change. All in the Family, Kung Fu, The Waltons, and similar series all pushed anti-racist, non-violence, and inclusiveness.

Nothing like that nowadays. It's nothing but reality TV, insults, and sex jokes. Probably why Trump won. Most Americans are now more impressed by someone who is a fucking jerk and constantly insults other people than people who are actually decent human beings and treat each other with respect.
