"Compromise" is a dirty word for today's Republicans... [View all]

That is why the government is shut down.

They want to shut off millions of Americans from affordable healthcare and they refuse to discuss it or negotiate it.

They have publicly stated that they do not agree with "compromise". It is a sign of weakness, they say.

And they are ready to put the screws to millions of Americans to prove it.
