"Compromise" is a dirty word for today's Republicans...

That is why the government is shut down.

They want to shut off millions of Americans from affordable healthcare and they refuse to discuss it or negotiate it.

They have publicly stated that they do not agree with "compromise". It is a sign of weakness, they say.

And they are ready to put the screws to millions of Americans to prove it.

It is time for the Senate to end this madness. People should not be held hostage over this.

Since the GOP controls the Presidency, and all the Congress, it is incumbent on you to compromise with the Democratic party in order to open the government.

I think it is legitimate to ask that ACA subsidies be continued since we seem to have the money to build a ballroom, send billions to Argentina, possibly bail out the farmers (maybe even ranchers), and maybe even pay Trump's former legal bills.

Tired of excuses - compromise and do your job.

I can remember when we had Republicans like John McCain who was willing to negotiate and compromise. It wasn't that long ago.

that would put the federal government in charge of state elections.

Who said it? It's not who votes, it's who counts the votes.
