recommended him. She is very liberal so I was surprised when his religious beliefs became known. I don't think she knew about his religious bent.

He is absolutely crazy about my Wall of Women project, which is where he encountered Matisse's fauvist work "Madame Matisse in a Hat." If you google it, you will see how striking it is.

However, he seemed a bit unimpressed by some other gorgeous works: Leonardo's angel in "Virgin of the Rocks" (Paris version), Klimt's "Woman with a Fan," MIllais' drowning Ophelia, etc.
