The peace workers have said what they experienced and saw. They have made very clear their shock and horror at the treatment meted out especially to young Greta.
I await the Israeli response with evidence showing there was no abuse. Israel saying that claims of torture and abuse are untrue simply carry no water. It should be a simple matter of releasing videos showing the treatment of the prisoners -- whose crime was, what again? Bringing food and medical supplies to people who have been left in very precarious, deadly circumstances by Bibi and the Boys?
Show the world the videos of the humane treatment you meted out to these people or stand accused of committing yet additional atrocities in this war of civilian mass murders.
BTW, I support the nation of Israel and the people of Israel almost unreservedly. I also understand the chilling meaning of the Palestinian slogan "from the river to the sea". It is, clearly, genocidal in its meaning. I believe firmly that Israel has a right to exist among the nations of the world. Further, that America and the West need Israel to succeed and flourish by demonstrating the strength and best aspects of Western democratic values.
But with Netanyahu at the helm, its ship of state has gone way off course. Proving fair and human treatment of aid workers would go a long way to correcting course and restoring her reputation for justice and fairness. If that is not possible, then by confessing to the transgressions described in this story and declaring a firm promise of amendment, and a promise to sin no more -- and demonstrating the seriousness of that promise in public acts of kindness and support for the people of Gaza.
