To me this is not a bad thing. Florida is very close to having major water supply issues. 20+ million population plus several million tourists a year is just not sustainable.

The water supply comes mostly from underground aquifers. That supply is is quickly being depleted because of all the growth. In the 1960s (before Disney) if you dug a one foot hole in the ground it would fill with water. Nowadays in many places you have to go hundreds of feet down to get water.

Peninsular Florida basically has a four month wet season and an eight month dry season.

If people don't come here or move away it is not a bad thing for the environment and sustainability.

I know, it is selfish to say that but that is the reality.
