2. I came to this realization about a month ago

On the US side of the Atlantic, we too are in mourning. The US history (however flawed) we learned in school is gone; everything we helped setup and make progress in since WW2 is being ripped to shreds and most voters don’t care. They want big changes and mostly care about themselves.

I don’t know where this will end, ultimately hopefully something more positive than Trump’s vision. But it is a sad and scary time right now.
