We keep enough supplies on hand for at least ten days, especially during hurricane season. I don't sleep well any way, and during rough weather I am constantly checking various weather sources (local t.v. and radio, various weather websites). Been through the aftermath of several tropical storms and hurricanes, snowmegeddon, and thunderstorms that dropped incredible amounts of rain and caused flooding.
Just try to do what can to be as prepared as possible, knowing we can't prep for everthing a disaster will throw at us.
