3. 7 of them voted against certifying the election

So only 2 of them accepted the election results.
A number of republicans will not vote for anyone who disputed the results.
A number of them will only vote for those who disputed the results.
They don't have the votes to elect a speaker, even with their majority.

The longer this drags on, the more likely some will end up working across the isle and actually vote for Jeffries. I haven't entertained that idea much, but it seems a possibility if a number of them get fed up with their own party. We only need 6 of them, in theory, to write in Jeffries name...I think there's a chance of that, as opposed to no chance in hell!

We really do need a functioning house of representatives, which is "controlled" by a dysfunctional majority.
