10. If McCarthy wasn't willing to make any guarantees to work with Democrats, there was no reason to save him

(Not that he could be trusted to keep his word in the first place, of course.)

Bear in mind that McCarthy's replacement will have to deal with the exact same problems -- a razor-thin majority and a deeply divided GOP caucus. And if McCarthy wasn't willing to cut a deal with Democrats even in order to save his own ass, no other Republican is going to cut a deal with Democrats in order to get any actual governing done. So whomever takes over is likely to be just as ineffective.

Meanwhile, the GOP will now have to waste time trying to elect another leader, all while giving the country another long, hard look at their complete ineptitude.
