Haven't been to a live event in Vegas for nearly two decades - Last visit, we attended Charo's Revew w/family members from CA who met us in Vegas for birthday celebrations. We got a small caberet-style table near the stage at the venue - took the Alladin's limosine, so cost: About $50 per ticket and tipped the driver well - they then picked us back up much later on Fremont Street, early in the morning. Driver said we "really knew how to have a good time."
Time before we went to the Nevada Star Ball (ballroom) competition at the Stardust - We treated our Latino in-laws, and again used our hotel's limo. My boss' wife, who owned a participating ballroom studio got us the tickets (somewhere between $20 - $60 ea. for evening finals) - and she gave us her table while she worked the room. Daughter's in-laws had never been to a ballroom competition - Really, it's pretty rowdy as you cheer on your favorites! Drinks were on the FIL, and we walked back to Treasure Island completely blitzed after stopping by the Frontier for additional sidewalk $0.99 marguaritas. Yikes, the kids were so embarrassed, LOL - heard us coming down the hallway. The kids didn't go - they went off to eat and celebrate daughter's 21st birthday - All had a grand evening!
The last rock concerts each of us attended locally were b-day gifted tickets: Fleetwood Mac for DH; Prince for me. Don't forget the high cost of souvenir tour t-shirts, Playbills, etc...Daugther #2 worked for the food service at The Shot's lodge boxes during college, so she saw parts of many more.
Yup, better days!
