9. Just drove Hwy 97 from Weed CA to Cle Elum WA and...

Saw several Trump signs. Near La Pine, just south of Bend, OR some nutter has a big anti Forest Service sign and next to it a very Large Trump/Pence sign n with Pence’s name crossed out with big red spray painted Xs. Farther along, where 97 briefly jogs no to I95, a big barn had Trump spelled out in giant letters. Apparently a change of heart had occurred because the letters were badly painted over in an attempt at erasure. Doing so made the change of heart all the more apparent to anyone driving by.

By the way, the baklava at the John The Baptist Greek Orthodox monastery’s bakery on 97 between the Columbia River and Yakima WA is not to be missed. Middle of nowhere. No neighbors. No sign. Worth turning around and going back for when you miss it in passing.
