2600 mile road trip, how many DT vs JB signs?

Traveled through Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming over the last 2 weeks in predominately red rural areas.

Zero Joe Biden signs, only 2 DT signs. I avoid all political discussions when traveling but did meet 1 person more than willing to share his opinion on the injustice being done to TFG.

I want to drive from Colorado, up through Wyoming, part of Montana, through Idaho and end up in Seattle to visit my son. Our route will depend on weather at the time we can go.

Unfortunately if you redo that experiment in a year's time, you'll likely see way more Trump signs in rural areas than makes sense.

Definitely rural area. My 2nd great grandparents were in the Salemville (Manchester Town) and Scott Township in Columbia County.

Sometimes we mirror the right-wingers, who often claim that Joe couldn't have won because...fewer signs and no big rallies.

And DUers freak out about polls a lot. I mean, a lot.
We're a nervous sort, understandable because of a) the stakes are high and b) recent history.

Thick skin and a good sense of humor, often self-deprecating, help smooth the bumps on these roads.

7. Interesting, thanks. This has been ridiculously early by past standards.

tRump announced over a year (!) ahead of normal because of his "special needs" -- his ongoing attempts at his coup d'etat, staying out of prison, etc.

Massive campaign of attack already built around President's Biden age, claims that he was senile, wouldn't run, couldn't serve, "horse race" coverage, and so on, lead him to follow.

Sigh.

9. Just drove Hwy 97 from Weed CA to Cle Elum WA and...

Saw several Trump signs. Near La Pine, just south of Bend, OR some nutter has a big anti Forest Service sign and next to it a very Large Trump/Pence sign n with Pence’s name crossed out with big red spray painted Xs. Farther along, where 97 briefly jogs no to I95, a big barn had Trump spelled out in giant letters. Apparently a change of heart had occurred because the letters were badly painted over in an attempt at erasure. Doing so made the change of heart all the more apparent to anyone driving by.

By the way, the baklava at the John The Baptist Greek Orthodox monastery’s bakery on 97 between the Columbia River and Yakima WA is not to be missed. Middle of nowhere. No neighbors. No sign. Worth turning around and going back for when you miss it in passing.

10. My neighborhood walk of 2 miles

in Medford OR conservative town used to have 3 Trump houses with flags and during campaign time signs. We are only allowed to have signs up a few months before so they do flags.

Now it has 2 Trump flag houses and one Send Trump to Prison flag. Not same house as Trump flag that guy has nothing on house now.
