Running in a rematch with trump is Biden's best chance for a second term. But more importantly, it's our best chance to inflict a humiliating defeat on the entire republican party up and down the ticket. It's going to take a humiliating defeat the likes of Johnson's victory over Goldwater in 1964 to stun these radicals back to reality. A close loss only makes them double down for the next election cycle. Only a humiliating loss will force them to cleanse themselves of the MAGA extremists and begin to rebuild their party.

In my opinion, Biden, despite the wonderful job he's doing, has serious vulnerabilities that can be exploited by a younger, more energetic republican opponent with a united party backing him up. it's in our best interest that the GOP remain splintered and divided going into the next presidential election cycle. I'm all for a trump nomination, where we can humiliate him at the polls before he heads off to spend the rest of his life in jail.
