to win the motion, since there's a strong presumption that such information should not be sealed (and some media outlets also objected) meaning that the prosecution isn't likely to win on appeal. Before the knees start jerking we might ask ourselves how we would react if TFG and not the prosecutor had made a motion to seal evidence. Cannon needs watching but this was not a demonstrably wrong decision in light of the fact that apparently the prosecution didn't offer reasons sufficient to overcome the general practice of not filing witness lists under seal. The likely reason, of course, is TFG's tendency to try to influence or intimidate witnesses. He will now have another to walk into Smith's trap - providing even more evidence of TFG's obstruction.
