In reply to the discussion: What if judge Aileen Cannon dismisses Trump's case? [View all]EndlessWire
(8,103 posts)Well, we got to enjoy the indictment for one day until Cannon returned, like a specter haunting us. Midas Touch says no worries, but others say differently. It does seem odd that the very first judge is also on the paper there, so maybe it is just a perfunctory step. I no longer hold out hope that he'll have to wear an ankle bracelet, if she is on the case day one. He'll walk in and walk out. Probably keep his passport, too.
Also, I think that the loss of his two attorneys will be used for delay, no matter who the judge is. This was Bundy's advice to--who was it? Another notorious serial killer. Just fire your attorney to get a delay.
Now, I think they got fired because Trump said he was reassured that he was going to skate, when he got whopped upside the head by this indictment. But, someone has to be sacrificed, and this is his MO to delay. The plan is to delay until he is protected by his candidacy. Which will happen.
I am enjoying the commentary on Jack, who I find comforting, in my weakness. I feel that if he can't do it, nobody can. He'll do his best, which is considerable.
I heard one commentator state that Cannon is highly respected.
