8. The Biden admin is doing a few things about this

They are investing in the "northern triangle countries" (El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras).
They are setting up centers where immigrants can go to apply for asylum in Central America so migrants don't have to make the trip to the US border.
They have an app migrants can use to start the process to apply for asylum etc.

That's just a few of the little talked about things they're doing that I've read about.
