has no legitimate legislative purpose to subpoena a former state level ADA? The J6 committee had legitimate reasons to subpoena people associated with Trump and his administration because the J6 committee members are representatives in the Federal Congress. They were investigating a FEDERAL event where they have jurisdiction to make FEDERAL law changes if necessary in regard to how such events should be handled.

But in the case of NY v Donald Trump, it's a STATE case, not a federal one.

Second grounds for Pomerantz to refuse are that Congress is interfering in an ongoing investigation and legal case. In doing that, they are obstructing justice.
