I actually see it as no difference when former presidents take folks’ private planes on trips. I have a relative that flies a large private plane for a very well known (and very wealthy) person. On occasion, they fly a former President or two. Their security details fly onboard. I’m not under the impression that they fly for free.

The only difference here is that this particular former President owns their own plane and based on what we know about them, they may even pad the charges.
