35. Healthcare is how corporate America enslaves us.

The one thing I did in my life that was a great decision was build my own home. I paid off the mortgage in my early thirties.
That folks was freedom. However I was still enslaved because of healthcare. I was still able to walk away from any job because my wife worked so we both had that freedom. However by the end of my working days many companies would not cover spouses. Turns out some of their slaves were escaping to freedom.
I had one employer who I hinted to about leaving and he told me I should think about my family. It was a fun conversation.
Corporate America expectes you to stay under their thumb. I choose freedom.
