29. Even that point is complicated.

In the 1976 I landed a very good paying job in a local union factory. Looking back it was not a healthy job. We had a plating department, we had a paint department, all the parts were cleaned in trichloroethylene. The Brown and Sharpe department had oil dripping from the rafters. I was actually lucky that the company moved to Florida and China to get away from the union. I did get good training from the company and had a successful career as a maintenance machinist. In much better working conditions.

When I was a young man and took the job I saw no down side. It was one of the best jobs in the community.
So the point is we have Americans who pick up our trash every week. They do it because they are well paid. The companies who butcher our meat and cut our grass can hire Americans. They just have to pay enough. It is called capitalism.

Yes manual labor can wear your body out and may poison you. In this day and age if a job is leaving people disabled then the company has a responsibility to change the procedures of the job so people are not getting disabled. It is called humanity.

Our government is responsible to balance capitalism and humanity.
