42. Well, I'm less than a month from being 77, so I grew up in the 50s,

and was in high school until 1963. So, I know the feelings of that time pretty well. I am frightened that we will return to those days and the restrictions women were under back then. I was aware of them then, too, and found them to be totally out of bounds, even then.

It wasn't just women, either. People of color had no rights at all, essentially. Those were not "the good old days" at all. They were the times we worked hard to change. And we did.

Now, we risk being thrown right back into those days, and the younger generations have no memory of what it was like. It's up to us oldsters to fill them in and hope they will respond to prevent themselves and their children from facing them again.
