Back to the 50s - Don't Want Pregnancy? Don't Have Sex. [View all]

That was the reality for many in the 1950s. If you lived in many states and you were under the age of 21, you couldn't even buy condoms. That was true in California then. Condoms were for sale only by pharmacists then, right into the 1960s, and you had to prove you were 21 to buy them.

This is how the right-wingers want it to be again. It's all part of right-wing men's plan to control women. The next step is to get rid of marital rape laws. Then, they'll be able to keep their women pregnant and enslaved to them and their children as they please.

If you're a woman in that situation, every sexual encounter is a potential pregnancy. You can't get contraceptives. If you get pregnant, you can't have an abortion. You'll be trapped. If you're married, you can't even refuse to have sex, if the right-wingers get their way, because your husband can demand sex from you with impunity.

This is their plan. This is what they want. If we don't stop them, women's rights will end.

We must stop this! As a man, I remember the 1950s and 1960s. I abstained from having all sexual activity that could result in an pregnancy in my younger years. Many men would refuse to do that. Many men wouldn't abstain back then, either.

We must prevent right-wing men from enslaving women. We must!
