I know someone who knew John Kennedy before he ran for office, and he insists Kennedy wasn't this buffoonish oaf back then. It's an act he adopted to pander to the people of Louisiana, who Kennedy (with perhaps an embarrassing amount of correctness) believes are mostly that stupid. The scary thing is that if this isn't his real self, what is his real self up to while it is projecting this cartoon caricature?
