I voted after work, in person until 2020 when I went absentee. I never waited more than twenty minutes. However, I'm white and live in an affluent district (in a tiny house).

Now be a person who lives in a county on 7700, with a single polling place. Which evening after work will you stand in line hoping to get in before the polls close?

The Republican legislatures are responding to voter turnout by limiting places where people not like them can actually turn out to vote.

McConnell said the quiet part out loud: "African Americans are voting in the same percentages as Americans." They're just not voting for republicans or their fascist plutocracy.
