(40,308 posts)You have to request a mail-in/absentee ballot. My state has vote-by-mail for every election, but you still have to request a mail-in ballot. A lot of CTs got started & were spread by people who don't understand & didn't bother to research the electoral process.
I had an exchange with a man who claimed that democrats were going from precinct to precinct & voting multiple times. I explained that if you show up to vote at any precinct other than your own, you're not in the poll book. You would then be directed to either go to your own precinct or you would be given a provisional ballot, which would be reconciled, & if you really had voted twice, you would probably be investigated. Turns out, he didn't know what a poll book or a provisional ballot were.
