Airing of the evidence before a duly-empaneled jury, right to cross-examine, access to all discovery, competent legal counsel, and then, after a full and fair trial, a guilty verdict that fails to be overturned on appeal. At that point, imposition of the harshest available sentence so that nobody can say he was unfairly convicted or railroaded by a mob mentality. A demonstration of how the system is supposed to work, even for someone that some people might say doesn't deserve such consideration.
