I am concerned about the election results in Indiana (please bear with me and read this). [View all]

I realize that we are not going to win Indiana, regardless of whether or not shenanigans took place in that state. But that doesn't mean it is not indicative of nationwide problems.

We lost Indiana by 19 points in 2016. In 2020 we are losing it by 33 points. That is a 14 point shift to Trump. No other state came close to having that kind of a shift toward Trump. (Alaska is only half counted, and we don't know where in the state those votes came from). And Indiana isn't even a state with a large Latino population, the one group that Trump seems to have improved with since 2016.

Even Utah, where Evan McMullin complicated things in 2016, only went from a 17.89 percent lead for Trump to a 19.84 percent lead. For the record, I am not sure who McMullin took more from, whereas it was pretty clear that Gary Johnson and Jill Stein both took more votes from Clinton. But Utah, with its Mormon populace, would seem to be the ultimate example of state where voters would make peace with voting for Trump in 2020 that they did not have 4 years earlier.

I realize that Mike Pence is from Indiana. But he wasn't exactly a popular governor. And having a candidate from a given state on the ticket doesn't provide the type of benefits that it used to, as we saw with Paul Ryan in 2012, setting aside Mitt Romney.

I feel there is good reason to suspect that Vladimir Putin changed the election results. And if he was changing results in Indiana then he was quite possibly changing the results elsewhere.

Biden still won. But that may be because Putin's ability to alter the election results is not absolute. It is not about simply replacing one number with another. It is possible that he is changing ballot outcomes as they go into the machines, and he can only move so fast. And maybe he can only realistically change so much without drawing immediate attention and suspicion.

I am not saying that this definitely happened. I am saying that it is possible that it did. And we should investigate to see if this concern is valid. There should be hand recounts requested, starting with Indiana.
