Demonstrators Begin Gathering Across the Country for Protests Against Trump
(New York Times) Some of the first protests scheduled in more than 2,600 cities and towns across the nation began on Saturday morning, part of a daylong mass demonstration that was expected to draw millions of people. I think that this is going to be a stronger push than the last one, said Hunter Dunn, a spokesman for the coalition behind the event, which organizers have called No Kings Day. Im seeing more of an emphasis on the understanding that this is not just a sprint, he added, where there is a mass mobilization and then everyone goes home and Mr. Trumps agenda is defeated. We are seeing a difference in the understanding of the general public, that this is a marathon.
