| The American People did the right thing. So, some of you better quit calling them stupid. |

I don't want to hear people here calling the public stupid and sheeple and etc. anymore. If we're gonna be the party of the people and the common man, then we had better ACT like it. My family were farmers and laborers and teachers and military and factory workers. AND SOUTHERN. Dems speak for me. Please continue to do so.
Now, back to your regularly scheduled party!

But I'm very proud of you Americans now.

We Texans are still stupid and the state should be given back to Mexico. :eyes: It's the people who make cracks like that who are the stupid ones.
I hear you.

But then 2004 happened. NEVER should have been close.
Tonight is a good start back to our senses.

and while I'm happy that Dems got the House, and apparently the Senate, this country is still in a mess, and so I hope the Dems put forth a lot of effort to help "We the People..."
The biggest thing they can do in that regard,it seems to me, is being in control of the budget, so I hope they start reining in the defense spending, and tacking tax increases for corporations and multi-millionaries onto any supplemental military requests which come from the Bush maladministration.
"You want money for your illegal occupation? Show us you're winding it down, and are willing to have your fellow war-profiteers start paying for it."

Almost half of the people in certain states are brain dead.
Otherwise Corker wouldn't have won and these races with Burns and Allen wouldn't be so damn close.
But it's also clear that a lot of Americans are capable of learning from their mistakes. I applaud them for that.

and how many states have voted for permanent bans on gay marriage, some that make DPs and civil unions impossible. Just because people are bright enough to see after 6 YEARS that George Bush is a fucking moron doesn't mean they get diploma from Smart School just yet.
And don't forget a number of our wins are DINOs, which will be an issue in the future, believe you me.
Not that I'm not ecstatic that we won, but let's keep it in perspective.
