between the ACLU and the city of LA over a cross on a government building. A friend just called me complaining about the left doing such a thing.

I certainly didn't coin it, but there are many variations that can be used for lots of church-state issues. "Under God" in the pledge? How does "Under Allah" sound? And so on.

it has to do with the la county seal. the county agreed to replace the cross on the seal with a picture of a mission. the aclu agreed to drop a lawsuit if the county did this.
