HONOLULU (AP) _ Honolulu District Court has been asked to drop criminal trespassing charges filed against two advocates for the homeless.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii told the court the charges violate the First Amendment rights of Julia Matsui Estrella and Utu Langi to assemble and protest.
Estrella and Langi were among a group of about 100 people who marched to City Hall March 27th to protest the nightly closure of Ala Moana Beach Park.
