On Comedy Central the other night - "Edelweiss" - "comedy" act
I saw this on Comedy Central the other night, and it was billed as a "comedy act" . . . in between stand-up bits.

Two young blonde girls, one with a guitar.

They started singing, and the songs were blatantly racists crap. But, since it was billed as a "comedy", it was "funny" . . . well, the audience was laughing, and the host was interacting like "Hey, you can't sing that . . . that's hurtful!" And the blondes would act mildly surprised, like they were unaware that their "music" was full of bigotry and racism (big-nosed jews, blacks, wetbacks, spics, asians, etc.)

Something bothered me.

I remember, not too long ago, there was a story about two young blondes making the "country music scene" . . . sorta. They were hitting all the "redneck" hotspots and basically playing to the KKK types . . .

I thought, could they have realized that their "music" was going to fall flat shortly, and decided to market it as "humor", instead of "serious music"?

Scary thought . . . that these two could have suckered a whole lot of people into thinking that they meant all that crap as "comedy" . . .

2. They were discussed here
at some length. IIRC they were very young -- maybe 5 or 6.

5. I think more like 13 or 14. Still very young.
I vaguely remember that they were twins and the father (not with the Mom) was a real racist.
Ah - from their official website "Lamb and Lynx Gaede are 13 year old twins"

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Theirs was submerged in an ocean of intolerance. Their parents made them that way.

(I'm talking about the musical group Prussian Blue)
