Seriously, how screwed up do you have to be to allow lead to get anywhere near kids' candy during the manufacturing process?

Ginger is a root crop. The soil is probably full of toxins, including lead. The plants take up whatever is in the soil, assuming it is able to survive in such polluted soil.

China. It quoted a Chinese scientist who stated that there is no concern on any level for food satefy and he stated that honey producers in China use lead lined buckets to collect honey.
